FLOORSIXTEEN first demo!

Last month, as usual, we awoke once again groggy from lack of sleep, answering fan letters and negotiating with big labels.  There was some discussion as to what our next move should be so we decided to do a new demo disc. Our old one wasn’t doing so well, (probably because we never actually recorded it).

We were so excited by the idea that we decided not to waste time on travelling to a recording studio, setting up and doing sound checks. So we made the recordings right here in our Belarus penthouse on, you guessed it! The 16th floor.  Then it was time for a trip to the studio where the raw recorded material was mixed, polished and mastered. Now as a result we’ve got 5 cuts in the can for our very first CD!


Naturally there was no hesitation over the name, and after three broken lamps, two smashed windows and one black eye we unanimously agreed on “Unplugged/2011”.
All of this dear Friends, for the sole purpose to convey to you how FLOOR SIXTEEN sounds live! Well live in the studio via our 16th floor apartment anyway.

We are particularly excited because in two years of live performances by the band from Oslo to Andorra, Austria to Minsk and St. Petersburg to Prague, literally wherever we went, all that we heard was: "The music’s great but . . . WHERE’S THE CD GUYS?!"

Entries suggested by YOU, our international fan base, on “Unplugged/2011” include  Write The Story and The Bridge. But that’s not the half of it!
